| Klitschko v Peter Preview |
|
We suggest it is Peter who will be bringing the excitement to the match, as Wladimir and his bear hug style have become rather dull in recent memory. In the first fight, Peter was able to put the bigger Klitschko down three times. This proved irrelevant however as Klitschko eventually won the fight nine rounds to three in the 12 round affairs. Five years later, both fighters have a lot left to prove to their critics. In the first encounter, Klitschko proved he could stand toe to toe with the faster Peter. Peter is known as a power fighter and will be looking to get away from Wladimir due to his new lazy style. Klitschko since the first Peter fight has been the man under the microscope as he holds three heavyweight titles. In recent memory, most of his opponents have been credited as slugs, and the rematch with Peter will be the first real test Klitschko has had in the five years. Conversely, Peter has really built up his record, from a young reckless fighter to one of the more premier power fighters in the business. First off, after losing to Klitschko, Peter came back by defeating James “Too Tough” Toney twice with the second coming by way of knockout. He then won several fights on points, before going back to the knockout route for his last five opponents. If this fight comes down to knocking your opponent out, we have to go with the hometown boy Klitschko as he has over 50 knockouts to Peter’s 24. |
