| Sugar Mosley vs. Sergio Mora Performance Preview |
|
Mora is an up and coming boxer with an impressive record of 22 – six and one. On the other hand Sugar Shane although also having an impressive record of 46 and nine, is seen more as a washed up fighter than as a serious threat. Many fans have a lack of interest in the fight, given that Mosley suffered the worst beating of his career his last time out and fans are unfamiliar with Mora. To the knowledgeable boxing fan, this fight appears to be more of a stepping stone fight for the Mexican sensation Mora. However, if you are betting on Mosley, it may be a safe wager, because although he appears washed up, he still has quite the impressive record. Essentially, Mosley has both more to gain and lose no matter the result of the Mora fight. On the one hand if he wins the fight, he might be able to restore some credibility to his reputation, which at this point could be all he’s looking for. Yet on the flip side, if Mosley loses, it does neither fighter any good. Basically if Mosley loses, it tells the boxing world that he should retire and that Mora can only fight washed up slugs. The fight is on September 18 at the Staples Center. This fight comes one week after the Klitschko and Peter fight, and many analysts wonder if anyone will watch it. |
