Boxing Betting – Who Is Ready To Step To Mayweather?

WWE Raw would be lucky to have Floyd Mayweather Jr. on their telecast (he has already worked with the WWE in the past) due to his ability to promote and talk trash, but when it comes to boxing, he doesn’t play games with a 42-0 record and 26 KOs. He currently holds the WBC welterweight belt and has the MGM Grand booked for May 5th (Cinco de Mayo). Who should Mayweather face?

Manny Pacquiao

This is a no-brainer, but the Pacquiao camp won’t be so quick to sign after a horrible performance against rival Juan Manuel Marquez in a highly controversial victory that frankly, he didn’t deserve. Those who use price per head services won’t be so quick to back Pacquiao in his next fight, which may be a fourth tilt with Marquez.

Victor Ortiz/Andre Berto winner

Ortiz made a rookie mistake in his fight with Mayweather, as he headbutted his opponent, touched gloves and went for another hug (and possibly a kiss). Mayweather promptly dropped Ortiz and took the WBC belt, and Ortiz would be sure to avoid a mistake like that again. The truth is, he was losing the fight when it was stopped in the fourth round anyway. Berto lost the WBC belt to Ortiz and the two will end up fighting at some point, with the winner getting a shot at Mayweather (or Pacquiao).

Miguel Cotto

Cotto recently avenged a loss against Antonio Margarito and could be looking for a big payday as his career winds down. Pacquiao destroyed Cotto, but the Puerto Rican may want to try his hand at Mayweather, who would be a huge online betting favorite in this fight.
